That’s not true whatsoever.

TPP was touted as being a “free” trade agreement which was an idea supported by all. That turned out to be a complete farce...much like the guy who championed it.

Once it was revealed that the actual text of the deal was full of special deals for various US trading partners, foreign corporations, and multinational US businesses...nobody with any economic sense supported it.

I think what we need to realize here is that the "socialism market" in the US has been cornered by one person...Bernie Sanders.

Bernie Sanders knows perfectly well that extending the reach of government to the levels he has proposed will outright kill the American dream, but...in order for HIM to secure a better paying job (POTUS)...he's selling it....even though he's getting richer from capitalism. He's a Senator from freakin' Vermont. Peddling socialism has made him waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more famous with more money in his bank accounts. In essence, his strategy has worked.

AOC is doing the exact same thing. She's selling a solution (a bad one) to move up the ranks within the political establishment, and her constituents aren't educated enough to realize that socialism won't lift them from whatever plight they think they're in. AOC will get wealthy from doing this, which is ultimately the goal.

Nowhere in any of this is the prosperity of America and its citizens a factor.

The most amazing thing about AOC is how flabbergastingly stupid she is, but democrats keep supporting her. She graduated from Boston University (ranked 42nd among US universities) with a degree in finance, and the moron was still bartending seven years later. Nobody in the private sector would hire her, yet the people of New York elected her to represent them.

This is why New York is already facing a 2.6 billion dollar deficit for a budget they rolled out last month.
