Thread: Chase Young?

    Chase Young?

People are hyping him up as the next Bosa. What kind of package would it take to get the Skins to give him up? And is that something we should consider? Is he the edge rusher we need?

Far too big of a jump and the skins know they won't be getting a high draft pick next year either. Not happening.

This. No way the Ravens can get the 1/2 pick they need to get Chase Young. Would cost way too much.

What would it take to get us in the ball park?

Just straight draft picks? What about Andrews and Carr ($6mil cap relief) for example? Both fill needs for Washington + a couple of draft picks. Hurst can be the #1 guy if needed and may be better than Andrews, we'd be fine with him and Boyle. Carr isn't irreplaceable either. May be too much, just trying to be creative here. The thought of the next Bosa on a 5 year rookie contract is enticing.

No way are we trading a 23 year old stud tight end that is only gonna keep getting better. Hurst is 26 and is not better than Andrews. You'd have to trade hurst plus still give up a bunch of picks. It ain't happening. If Washington were to trade it for a bunch of picks anyway it wouldn't be with a SB contender. It'd be with a franchise that always stinks up the joint so they could get themselves a top 10 pick or two.

We'd be fine with just 1 of Hurst/Andrews + Boyle.

Could also sweeten the pot with RG3, which QB is another need they have. Trace McSorley would be a very capable backup for us, and we could reunite RG3 with his old team. like poetry. We can go sign replacements if we need to, and cover for losses. We are very deep at TE is all I'm saying. The draft picks would sting most, but would solve our edge rush long term.

Washington trading for RG3 is a pipe dream and so is the thought of RG3 sweetening any deals as neither one of them want to be reunited. It's like Ike and Tina before it could ever be poetry. I'm not sure RG3 is even a decent backup QB which is likely why we drafted Trace to begin with. Trading Andrews away is a bad idea that we would regret terribly when he actually hits his prime and becomes an all-pro.

here's a draft value chart. to figure out roughly what the ravens would give up. this would never ever happen. nor would it make sense to trade players for Young. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-V...equestTeam=bal
