Ranking Each Ravens Team
If you were going to rank each Ravens team from all 21 of their seasons they had. How would you rank them?

Re: Ranking Each Ravens Team
1. 2000
2. 2012
3. 2011
4. 2006
5. 2010
6. 2003
7. 2008
8. 2014
9. 2001
10. 2009
11. 2004
The rest were either 8 and 8 or losing seasons, can't really be bothered going into them. I'd say the seasons past team was probably the best of the bunch though.
That's 5 winning seasons each for Billick and Harbs plus 1 SB each. Harbs can either go on and extend his legacy as a better HC than Billick if they manage to get back into the play offs, or he will go down as an equal to Billick if he ends up having another losing season and likely gets shit canned.

That 1999 team was 8-8, I believe, but easily could have been 13-3. 5 of their losses were very close. I knew they'd be special in 2000; didn't dream we'd win it all, but thought we'd win a playoff game or 2.

Re: Ranking Each Ravens Team
The '98 team was the worst. The 2015 guys were at least decimated by injuries. '98 was horrible. At least '96-97 we had half a team -- an excellent offense and an atrocious defense. The '98 bunch was painful to watch. Harbaugh couldn't throw anymore, and our leading receiver was Jermaine Lewis with 784 yards. The defense was 22nd in the league, but the offense was 26th. The 45-19 pasting by the Jags remains the only Ravens game I have ever walked out on.
They won six games, but they beat the 3-win Bengals twice, and the 3-win Colts once. (Thank God for that -- if they had gone 1-15 that year with that one win being against the Colts, we would have been happy. Harbs gave Johnny U the game ball.)"Chin up, chest out."

Re: Ranking Each Ravens Team
I remember the '98 season from a different perspective. Two very tight woulda-shoulda losses in defensive struggles against the powerhouse Titans (who went to the SB in '99). Wrapping the season with a win via a dominating defensive performance over all-world RB Barry Sanders, held to 41 yards in 19 carries and denied his 5th straight 1500 yard season. Our guys appeared to me just a QB, a few receivers, and some DL help away from contending the next season.

Re: Ranking Each Ravens Team
The '98 Tennessee Oilers were hardly a powerhouse. They were playing their games at Vanderbilt (if memory serves) and they were 2-0 against us and 6-8 against the rest of the league. They -- like us -- had started to put the foundational pieces in place for what would be their dynasty and the beginning of the rivalry. But they weren't that good of a team yet.
I do agree with you though that the performance against Detroit was a harbinger of things to come. That run defense was starting to come together."Chin up, chest out."
