If you took even two seconds to read any of my posts above, you'd realize how foolish you sound. In none of my posts, have I ever said Capitalism needs to die or be done away with.

I have consistently said that Capitalism, in the way it is constructed now, serves only one class, almost exclusively. As MLK stated many years ago, it has always been rugged individualism for working class folks and corporate socialism for the rich. This dynamic has gotten worse and worse as the decades have gone on, and has even multiplied during the pandemic.

You don't quantify the worth of capitalism with one factor.

It's funny though that this growth happened when Union membership was high and strong and this also happened as the United States implemented more socialist practices. Medicare and Medicaid had just been implemented in 1965. Imagine the income growth of we had Medicare for all and business owners didn't have to worry about providing Healthcare options.

Income growth has seen stagnation in every EDC nation after the implementation of their nationalized healthcare. In fact economies lagged greater after implementation of nationalized health services than before, and imagine why, this is largely due to the massive tax hit on the middle and lower class.

This is also fundamentally untrue, disposable income has risen above income growth levels per BLS. In fact commodities become cheaper as time progresses in economies of scale.

The thing you don't understand is that consumption is above traditional levels, essentially people are buying and spending too much on goods and services they don't need.

This is another good point, the standard of living is miles ahead and this kinda eludes to my point of overconsumption. Near 25% of US households didn't own a car in 1970, now that figure is around 7%, on top of that there is 1.97 cars per family in the US as of today. Staggering really

When this countries constitution was ratified, black people were seen as subhuman pieces of property and women had no rights! All this liberty you speak of was reserved for one identity! The white man!

You make it sound like EVERYBODY thought this way. Slavery was illegal in the north and abolitionists were working then to end slavery.

And this libertarianism, meaning liberty for all, was part of the drive to end slavery because it is completely against the libertarian view. Libertarianism wasn't to blame for any of these ills you rant about. It was in part helping to end them.

The problem is that when people come into government to try and correct the atrocities that have taken place in this country for centuries, you look at it as your liberties beginning to shrink, when in actuality, it is the beginning of identities other than the white man beginning to recieve actual liberty.

Libertarianism in this country has only ever been a safe space for white men. Period.

It MAINLY serves one class. That class being those who have influence with government. Government interference has created the distortions.

One example is licensing occupations. This sounds like a good idea but it is quite often used as a barrier to prevent entry into the industry and protect those established in it.

And despite licensing plenty of crooks still get into home improvement and plenty of bad barbers get into hair cutting. Those things can be handled without licensing.

How can you make this claim. People today have a lot more stuff than ever. More people have cars, TVs, etc. And a lot of stuff that didn't exist 50 years ago like computers and cell phones. The middle and poor class enjoy more luxuries than ever.
