Was the OP really saying that Dumervil wouldn't be a starter? We would pay a guy that much and make him a situational player? Do you think that we're the Browns or something?

I think theyre alluding to him being a pass rush specialist and Upshaw starting there on first and second. I still disagree with that. Dumervil is one of the top OLBs in the game. Hes starting and getting a lot of tick out there. Upshaw likely plays sub packages (4-3 DE) and short yardage/goal line.

This is a "pleasant problem" to have. Suggs, Doom, Upshaw, Simon, plus Hamilton and McAdoo. Not many teams can boast that kind of talent @ OLB... Bc

    QB - Flacco
    RB - Rice
    FB - Juice
    WR1 - Smith
    WR2 - Streeter (I know, right?)
    TE - Pitta
LT - Albert (I would wager a 3rd round next year)
    LG - KO
    C - Gino
    RG - Yanda
    RT - Oher

    DE - Jones
    DT - Ngata
    NT - Williams
    OLB - Dumerville
    ILB - Bynes
    ILB - McClain
    OLB - Suggs
    CB1 - Webb
    CB2 - Graham
    SS - Elam
    FS - Huff

I gotta be honest though. With the DL the Ravens have this year, and the ILB lack of depth, I could envision them going to a 4-3 front. Think of the lineup

    DE - Canty/Jones
    DT - Ngata/Spears
    DT - Williams/Cody
    DE - McPhee/Tyson
    OLB - Dumerville/Upshaw
    OLB - Suggs/McAdoo/McClellan
    MLB - McClain/McClain/Brown/Bynes

    Re: Predict the Starters

Hard to say how that dline is going to shake out. So much talent, so few spots. The rotation will keep everybody fresh and it should (hopefully) become one of the great strengths of our team. Last year it was a glaring weakness.

I like this especially since you have R Mc Clain @ ILB but I think Upshaw over Doom only bc most teams runs on first down. Calling it first, the Ravens will have the best run d in the league.

Starter only means that you're on the field first. This Raven team will have non starters getting more snaps the starters at certain spots

I think it will all depend on what team we are playing. If we are playing the 49'ers, Steelers, or Bengals: Upshaw will be used more. If we are playing the Pat's, Broncos, or Packers: Dumervil will be used more.
