With that consistency and rate of fire there's only 2 possibilities.
He either had a belt feed automatic fire (something to like the likes of an M249).
Or had semi-auto rifles with 100 round drums attached and more than one ready.
I think he had an automatic rifle based of the rate of fire.

I'm pretty sure they are illegal nation wide. However there are a lot of class III gun ranges in Las Vegas (anything to make a buck) for tourist to go experience military style weapons, they are not for sale though. Also a heavy Cartel/black market presence in Vegas. I am hearing he had multiple rifles, but that's the sound of full auto. Not saying he did not have secondary weapons, but the rate of fire is fast. There are also ways to make semi auto rifles into full auto (also illegal), it's really hard to say, but I would imagine it will come to light.
