Re: Flacco
Whats missing from that montage is the 3rd down play in PT against denver from the EZ where he hits pitta. Think that was the best throw of the lot.
It was also a disgrace we asked boldin to take a pay cut after that

Re: Flacco
Did Eli Manning ever make All Pro? He's talked about as a possible HOF candidate.
One thing none of the QBs listed that Joe did not mentioned was get 944 yards out of Kamar Aiken. THAT is HOF worthy!

Re: Flacco
A number of HOFers never made first team All Pro - Isaac Bruce, Harold Carmichael, Harry Carson, Rickey Jackson, Warren Moon, etc
No HOF players that played after the Bro Bowl started in 1950 have never made the Pro Bowl.
It's worth noting that Joe Flacco was invited to the Pro Bowl in 2014, but declined: https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/...120-story.html

Re: Flacco
It's interesting to see all the hype for a Stafford trade compared to the lack of hype for a Flacco trade.
Stafford will be 33 and played for the Lions for 12 years. Flacco left at 34 and played for the Ravens for 11 years
Stafford has thrown 282 TDs and 144 Ints. Flacco has thrown 224 TDs and the same 144 Ints
Stafford has 38 game winning drives. Flacco has 24 game winning drives
Stafford played with some real greats at WR like Calvin Johnson, Marvin Jones, Golden Tate and Kenny Golladay but never had much of a running game.
Flacco had some very good running backs and tight ends but never had that true great at receiver.
Stafford saw a ton of coaches come in and out while Flacco had consistency at head coach but lots of change at OC and position coaches.
Stafford played in just 3 playoff games and lost them all. Flacco played in 15 playoff games and won 10 of them including a historic Super Bowl run.
They are saying that Stafford will be traded for at least a 1st round pick. Flacco was traded for a 4th round pick. It's interesting how the perception of Stafford is so much greater than it was for Flacco when in reality the numbers are kind of similar and each has some intangibles that have shaped their careers.
Is health the determining factor? Stafford is a guy who plays through injury while Flacco at the time was someone who rarely got hurt. Both seem to have risk as they aged.
Leadership? Neither has ever been considered much of a leader.
What is it that makes Matt Stafford worth so much more than Joe Flacco?
