    We owe Joe a lot.

Most Ravens fans will forever remember Flacco. From 2008-2012 the guy was money. Every week I felt they could go up against anyone and beat them.

THings that stand out from watching that clip.
#1 obviously Anquan Boldin. Nobody could cover that guy. The single dumbest move this front office has ever made was releasing that guy. Yes, dumber than the 2000 Dilfer release. Bodlin embodied play like a Raven and not many guys have lived up to that since his departure.

#2 The offensive line blocking. Yes Joe was getting the ball out quick but the offensive line was blocking the people in front of them. THe past three seasons in pass protection the interior offensive line has been bad.

#3 Flacco was getting the ball out in 3 step drops. That is something Lamar needs to start doing in passing downs. One thing noticeable this year is Lamar is holding the ball entirely too long, that is leading to sacks and incomplete plays.
THe offasional amazing run by him but they need to improve the passing game instead of worrying about the occasional QB rush.

#4 Look at the WR routes. You actually see guys running routes and getting some separation. Why cannot all of this speed with Brown, Duvernay, Andrews accomplish that?

Good points. But I'd extend Joe's great years from 2008-2014. 2015 is when he got hurt and it started crashing.

I read in another thread someone said a #1 receiver wouldn’t helped this team... I just watched 3 minutes of boldin catching contested jump balls with coverage all over him...

Thank you!!! AN and even more obvious point is that a true number 1 puts everyone in their proper place. I honestly think Hollywood and Andrews are more talented than Torrey and Pitta. Imagine Hollywood and Pitta facing the coverages that those two got with an Allen Robinson on the outside doing what a true #1 does. Our offense would truly be indefensible.

I was going to start a separate thread for this, but this one seems appropriate:

My Bengals fan Brother in law, who's a knowledgeable NFL fan, thinks Joe has a good chance of being inducted into the HOF. My first inclination is no, however he says Joe deserves it due to his stellar post-season performances.

    Thoughts?

Where does Flacco play 2021? Or does he retire?

probly not considering the yuge numbers his peers have put up (Ryan, Rivers, Rthls). I think he has a reputation around the league as a caretaker QB. He'll have to settle for Ravens RoH and a SB ring.
I think he's all right with that.

Duvernay isn't even getting snaps, but even without a #1 wide receiver, I think a better passing game OC would find a way to scheme open Hollywood, Andrews, Duvernay and Snead.

    I'll give it a shot

    212 TDs, 38,000 yards
He's 20th in all time passing yards, having reached that status this year
That playoff run was one of the best in history with 1,100 yards, 11 TDS, 0 INTs (beat Montana's record)
34th in passing touchdowns - ahead of Kurt Warner
    Superbowl MVP

World Domination 3 Points at a Time!

He never made an all-pro team or a pro bowl. He is not getting inducted into the HOF.
