Re: OT: NBA Finals Thread
Vladimir Guerrero is about the only thing I cared about, with regard to the Expos.

Re: OT: NBA Finals Thread
I’m interested to see what the Clippers pull off in Free Agency and, being a late 80s baby, I never thought that I would ever see the day when I would say that about the Clippers.
You’ve got the Logo running the Front Office, Doc coaching and you could add Kawhi and a second guy, to an already over-achieving group. Word is that Leonard and Butler have talked about playing together for the Clippers and separate word that the Clippers are one of the teams interested in Al Horford.

Kemba to the Celtics seemed to have been legit noise.

Re: OT: NBA Finals Thread
I think we should all give GWNR a pass on any tirades he may partake in within the next week.

Re: OT: NBA Finals Thread
I can see reasons for leaving and staying.
Staying: The team is largely intact. Gasol opted in, if I’m not mistaken. Beanstalk is on the up and up, VanVleet isn’t going anywhere. I still don’t trust Lowry, but I digress.
The Raptors provided Leonard with the load-management he desired.
Ujiri is staying.
Though I don’t think this matters to Leonard in the slightest, the entire country is kissing his ass right now.
Leaving for the Clippers:
The logo running basketball operations and Doc Rivers coaching.
They can afford to bring in two other semi-max caliber guys.
Close to home
New Balance wants him in L.A.
Leaving for the Lakers:
New Balance wants him in L.A.
Probably the one that’s not being talked about is the fact that he grew up a Lakers fan.
Word is that Leonard would only seriously consider the Lakers if they got Davis, which they did.
James will retire in 2-3 years, it will be Leonard’s team and he’ll have Davis there to be his supporting actor.
About as close to a guaranteed title as one can get. Leonard has two rings and two Finals MVPs, from different teams no less. This would not be a Durant situation. Durant felt he wouldn’t win a ring in OKC, had GS down.....blah blah blah, we’ve been over it enough. This wouldn’t even be on par with James going to Miami. Leonard has his rings and Finals MVPs. He led the Raptors to the title. I never thought I’d see the day. He’s earned the right to do as he pleases. His legacy is cemented.
