Thread: Earl Thomas

    Earl Thomas

How do yall feel about having him and Clark at safety next year. Love Weddle but Thomas would be an upgrade. Jefferson well liability in coverage. I think Seattle might part ways with him next year. Our secondary is good now but our safety's are our weak spot

I wouldn't pay him what he wants. You also can't cut Jefferson until the following season

Not saying he will be a factor in 2019, but we did draft DeShon Elliott (Safety, Texas) in 2018 (6th round). Here are his three year totals :

I think we should draft a new ball hawking safety.

I'm going to Wal Mart after work should I just pick one up and drop him at M&T Bank Stadium or do you think I should leave him at the Under Armor Performance Center?

Douchey sarcasm aside, these types of guys are impossible to find.

I mean the guy only has 3 INTs that's hardly a ball hawk he's more of a strong safety anyway.

That being said we haven't had even 1 INT since Cleveland so maybe you're onto something...

I don't get it. People don't want Bell but would rather have an expensive beat up older safety for the same reason they don't want Bell?

I think the logic is that Safetys are quite a bit harder to come by than running backs. Very rarely do you pull some Safety off of a practice squad and they have the type of year Collins had last year.

    Ed Reed disagrees.

People need to fully grasp what Bell could do for the passing game. He isn't a dime a dozen RB. Not trying to derail the thread, but if they're splurging on a FA it shouldn't be for an old safety.
