It's a smart move by the Pats. Now his salary isn't guaranteed. They can just keep him week to week with no cap hit. They used to do the same thing with Troy Brown

To think that this guy once held out and went to arbitration over issues with this team. Now, it's almost like he's their bitch. Picked up and dropped off at their convenience.

They should bring back Matt Light and Ted Bruschi too; it won't matter in this game ;)

With the way these replacement refs are calling the games, Rodney Harrison would love to come in for a head shot or two.

That's because no one else will sign him. He plays well with Brady and sucks with everyone else.

Nailed it. Theyre one of the best at getting players to buy in and accept that. Rather a small part/pay on a winner than play for a loser for any reason. Seems they always get some vets to do that.

They signed him because They will be running more 3 WR sets since Winslow wont be nearly up to speed on the playbook and wont do the type stuff hernadzez did so they needed another WR since they did not have proper WRs for 3 WR sets. He know the system and Winslow has no clue about it so he wont play much or be a factor exectp in basic TE routes and blocking nothing like what A Hernandez did until he learns the playbook which will take 2-3 weeks at best and he is out at laest 6.

I'll take 3 WR sets and downfield routes over Gronk/TEs and smurfs like Welker, Woodhead, & Edleman shredding our LBs coverage underneath and over the middle. I trust our secondary and would like the LBs freed for some more complex blitz and rush looks to make Brady force those balls to his WRs.

PS Branch had a big day in a return from the grave and to Brady in the last reg. season game we played @ Foxboro (lost in OT despite winning the coin toss).

I guess it's one of those "cut off a head and two more grow" kind of thing with the Patriots.
