Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
According to Marvin Lewis it didn't bother them at all.:grbac:
On whether the Ravens no-huddle confused them:
“The no-huddle did not bother us at all. I wish I could say it was the no-huddle. We play against no huddle all the time, in fact, we’re one of the better teams against the no huddle in the National Football League over the last eight or nine years. I think it’s an effective thing for them, and it’s something they’ll continue to do, but I don’t think it really bothered us.”

Re: Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
It had to have been Marvin who made those comments about Joe. The sound is resembling.

Ex,
That thought crossed my mind also.
I almost put it in that thread instead of starting a new one.

Re: Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
The no huddle was effective because Flacco was great at calling the play at the line and manipulating the defense, not because it was catching the Bengals D off-guard. The Ravens spent the whole preseason telling everyone the "sugar huddle" was going to be part of their game plan. This wasn't just some gimmick that confused the Bengals. This was Flacco taking charge on the field.
So I don't think Lewis is just talking when he say the no huddle offense didn't bother them. The problem the Bengals couldn't solve last night was Flacco.

Re: Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
I don't think the sugar huddle was meant to confuse them or anything else. It's meant to give Flacco the time at the line of scrimmage to make the calls he needs/wants to make and take charge of the game.

Re: Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
If things work out right for the Ravens the 2nd Bengals game (the last game of the season) will be MEANINGLESS.

Re: Don't know why we bothered with the no huddle
Since last season, Ravens are 7-0 in the division, someone ask Marvin if that bothers him or his team :T2:
