Vikings has suspended him.

For those that remember this was the guy the Ravens tried to trade up for in 2010. They missed him and took Kindle instead. Obviously Kindle has issues but nothing like Cook.

A lot of these guys c0ome from backgrounds where women are treated poorly.

Agreed. It is hard to wipe out a cultural predication for violence with some of these young men.

The reason it is not an excuse is, because he has likely been exposed to examples of the right way to treat a woman at some point in his life. Whether that has been in school, by a female teacher, on television or in a seminar.
