Thread: Phillip Rivers

    Phillip Rivers

I have never understood why analysts want to put Phillip Rivers in the "elite" category of QBs in the league. I am not saying that Rivers is not skilled and is not a good QB...but in my opinon he should be in the second tier of QBs, just like Flacco is.

So why is Rivers regarded as elite?

I dunno, but right now the Chargers have taken a dominating performance on the Jets in the first half and pretty much flushed it down the toilet.

They are giving the game away today for sure.

Same reason folks like Schaub. Great numbers from quarters 1-3 and sucks in close games.

So when you look at the final stats, you see this:

25/37, 340, 3td's, 1int. the stats dont tell you that the pick was with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter in a tie game.

Joe Flacco really does have a good chance to make the Pro Bowl this year. Tom Brady and Ryan Fitzpatrick are the only other two that are playing that well, while Matt Schaub make make a case as well.

you are dreaming. Quite a few QBs are having better years that Flacco.

I'll take the wins instead of the stats, however.

Rivers really has had a substandard year for him.

Funny as they were clamoring to get Gates back today but it did not inspire Rivers.

Who, other than the quarterbacks I mentioned are having better years?
