Re: "The Swami" picking the Ravens to win the SB
that's a great article
"You have to buckle up for a game like this. Front seats and back seats. Buckle up on your couch, in the stands, on the field. Are you kidding me? Ravens and Steelers at 1 o'clock on Sunday. No prime time. Football at 1 p.m., the way it used to be. The game should only be on radio. That's the respect I have for this game. Maybe I'll have them turn off the monitor, and I'll only listen to the game, just like when I was growing up." Berman added.Last edited by Ravenswintitle; 09-09-2011 at 04:56 PM.

Interesting. I always got the feeling that the Swami didn't care for the Ravens. Anyway its up to the Ravens to get it done. Doesn't who picks us.

I'm amazed. I always thought he picked against them at every opportunity. Even SB35 he picked the Giants. Guess he's trying to be different from everyone else.

He's picked against us a lot in the past.
As was said, it's nice but doesn't mean anything.I root for the Steelers; I root for their plane to go down.
I'd rather be dead than pessimistic.

Re: "The Swami" picking the Ravens to win the SB
He might be right, especially if we get by Piss. We'll have a good shot
if we beat them week 1 and they have to come in here to win the division
instead of us going up there as usual.
And don't forget our easy schedule.
There was a article on sunspot that had Ravens as 1 of 9 teams going to
SB with the caption that Ray and Ed will hold the SB window open while
Flacco finally carries the team thru it.
I certainly concur.
GO JOE
GO RAVENS

Re: "The Swami" picking the Ravens to win the SB
I picked the Ravens to win the Super bowl starting in 1998. I was right once, but think I'm gonna be again. Remember, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I think 2011/12 is our "twice a day"... Bc

I thought he actually picked us to win last season?

Re: "The Swami" picking the Ravens to win the SB
A lot of the general "Ravens hate" from media types went away after Billick was let go. The media overall is a sensitive bunch and held a grudge after Billick laid them to waste Super Bowl 35 week. Just my opinion. I know most cities feel their team is disrespected year in and year out too. I saw Berman do his prediction this am and was stunned since I always thought he hated us for some reason.
