    Sergio Kindle

I watched the replay and was focusing on the defense and was pretty impressed by how Kindle did for his very first game.
    • Excellent accelerator and attacks the line as soon as the play starts
    • Strength appears to be as a speed rusher as he gets around the lineman
    • Moved well around the field and was constantly around the ball
    • Has a good bull rush but wasn't really effective (will take time)
    • Needs to learn to shoot through the gap and take down the QB/RB
    • Has to improve zone coverage and reading the QBs eyes

He is very raw but you can definitely see the guy has a ton of talent and with experience he could live up to his potential. He could turn into a stud WILL LB in a couple years. Kindle alongside Paul Kruger, Art Jones, and even Pernell McPhee showed me some good stuff as they attacked the OL and went after the QB. The Ravens have some very good young pass rushing prospects.

That was his first game in more than 18 months. I think he did great.

For a year and a half off he really shined. I can see him having a decent season. Rotating him and Kruger in and out might just provide a good pass rush opposite Suggs.

I'm guessing the Ravens will use him the same with they did Suggs during his rookie year - unleash him on 3rd downs and tell him to take down the QB. Slowly and slowly as he gains experience I'd expect Kindle to become better at defending the run and dropping back into coverage, but his pass rush skills will be very useful from the getgo.

Not to mention he has no hearing in one ear from the head injury. He has to watch hand signals for plays.

I wouldn't mind that plan of attack.

There was a Redskin back in the 80s who couldn't hear and they made a
helmet with a hearing aid in it so he could hear. The national media made a big
deal out of it since it was a first ever and my hearing specialist designed the aid for his helmet.
It was a Beltone hearing aid.

I lost over 60% hearing in my left ear and have worn an aid since 84. We
also learn to lip read to compensate, something I didn't even know I was
doing so Kindle will pick up on lip reading.

Maybe the helmet design will help him not sure. Also, implants might
work for Kindle. Rush Limbaugh has them. My doc sent me for them but
the guy said my hearing and speech wasn't bad enough to qualify. he
could tell by the way I talked.

No biggie here. The hearing will work out.

Great game for Kindle last night with many more to come.

I have high hopes for Sergio.

Kruger really impressed me last night. He looked fast and aggressive.

    KRUGER!!!

Great to have a BUNCH of good young playeres in the front 7. With a few weeks to get J Williams up to speed and possibly Foxworth, too, the D is solid overall. It's the O that is the concern. Oz is good, but he'll have to really excel to get a good C and OT

Yeah I feel like that whole move to make him into a 3-4 DE was dumb. Just unleash the beast and let him go to work. Kindle, Kruger, Suggs, and McPhee are going to rec havoc. Now if only we could get a way to stop those kinds of guys from coming into our backfield...
