Harbs Actually Scaled Back Practices for Playoffs
Mikey Doughnuts gets trumped again.
http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/201...-for-playoffs/
It's one thing for the team to simply refute Preston and not mention it again. That kind of article would scream of that the team was covering it up and / or severely downplaying everything.
But to get the GM and players actually on record pretty much seals this one for me.
None of the players listed have no incentive to lie, tow some sort of faux team line, etc.
The scenario for this whole non-story was just the usual malcontents, ginning up trouble and Preston falling for it yet again.

But ...but ...but ...but... does this mean we can't blame Harbs now for working the players too hard??!!
Oh wait. It probably means he didn't work them hard enough! Right? So that's why the offense committed those 3rd quarter turnovers at Heinz! They probably had too much nervous energy because Harbaugh wouldn't allow them to practice harder. Never would've happened if he'd gotten them off their lazy asses! Damn him, I knew it was his fault. Worst coach ever...

Festivus
His definitions and arguments were so clear in his own mind that he was unable to understand how any reasonable person could honestly differ with him.

As a coach in the NFL, until you win a Superbowl (and often until you win multiple Superbowls) your competence will always be questioned.

After reading the Doughnut Boys columns daily since the Billick years, I only agree half the time. He wouldn't stretch the truth would he?

Does the Sun have any kind of institutional standards for what it prints anymore? I know it's "only" sports, but it's still technically supposed to be journalism.
