If the Jets play the Colts, Patriots, Steelers, and ultimately, the Packers in the Super Bowl, the Jets had to play the four best teams in the league before they can hold up the Lombardi.

I can't conceive of a harder post-season schedule.

Even Rex-haters should give credit where it's due -- good coaching has helped this team overcome position deficiencies.

I could be wrong...but I was sure the OP was talking about the Steelers being lucky...and not the Jets.

The Steelers are indeed not only good but extremely lucky.

They won the Super Bowl last time by going against 8-8 San Diego at Heinz, the Ravens at home, and then a 9-7 AZ team in the Superbowl. We were the only good team they faced last time they won the Super Bowl.

And when they played Seattle in the Super Bowl a few years ago the Steelers probably would have lost the game if not for botched calls by the refs. One of the refs even came out in 2010 and said he blew the calls in that Super Bowl, and that it impacted the game.

I don't understand why NE was taking their time and running up the middle in the 4th down by two scores. I think Bilichick and Brady still haven't gotten over the Super Bowl loss to the Jets, they choke in the post season now

What is really getting me down right now is that, although I hate the Patriots, if the Jets win this one, the magnitude of our meltdown against the Steelers increases a hundred-fold. We would not only have let our most hated rivals off the hook, we will have lost the opportunity to host the AFC championship in Baltimore. If we thought we were sick yesterday, wait until if that possibility comes to fruition. For now, I have to be a Patriots fan, because I just can't stand the thought.

I hate the Steelers much worse than I hate the Patriots. Barring a miracle by the Pays the lucky Steelers will get to host the AFC Championship game at home.
