OWINGS MILLS -- The St. Louis Rams traded Monday for Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mark Clayton.

Now, they're set to meet today with former Ravens wide receiver Demetrius Williams.

No deal is imminent for Williams at this time.

Williams is a player with upside, though.

The 6-foot-2, 197-pounder has the speed to gain separation, good hands and crisp routes, but has struggled with his durability.

The former fourth-round draft pick from Oregon was cut Saturday after a solid preseason, but is coming off a sprained right ankle.

He's more talented than several receivers on the Rams' roster, but hasn't been consistent. He has generated 63 career receptions for 1,008 yards and four touchdowns.

Last season, his numbers plummeted to eight catches for 142 yards and one touchdown as his playing time took a dip.
