That was my thought initially but Google the University of Georgia Blackout and find some YouTube vids and have a look.

I started to picture Ray Lewis in his black uni standing on the field doing his thing surrounded by black and with fans waving those towels choreographed by a Blackout meter. It's very worthy IMO.

I would squash this and spelling R-A-V-E-N-S in a chant. Spelling your team name as part of a cheer is played. Plus, it gives me less things to make fun of opposing team's fans for...

The whole towel thing has me real iffy. It does look like a flock of black birds though. LOL maybe the whole stadium should a go CAW-CAW all at the sametime.

Meh, I could take it or leave it.
I really don't think stuff like that is intimidating to the opponents on the field.
Now come out and let some crap like This happen and I'll be impressed at the intimidation factor.

I LOVE the idea of a blackout ....

... but equally hate the fact we're using towels.

Hell, I'd much rather have those blow-up noise makers that you slap together over towels.

I do think it would be a pretty impressive sight to have a black out at the stadium.

I think it is a great idea...better than thundersticks, and imagine if the whole stadium were waving black, that would be pretty intense. And it's not a "urine soaked" Pittsburgh towel...it's a black Raven's towel. Those Steelers towels are hideous. It's for building esprit de corps and I think anything that lends itself to the fans joining together is what the team needs.
