KFFL: Rod Green A 49er
49ers | R. Green claimed off waivers
Sun, 3 Sep 2006 14:32:35 -0700
SF49ers.com reports the San Francisco 49ers have claimed free agent LB Roderick Green (Ravens) off waivers.
I am happy for two reasons.
1. He is out of the division/conference.
2. He gets another chance to show his potential.
I wish him nothing but the best. He's a quality kid. It's a new season! It's a new day!

I agree. Best of luck to him. Hope he has fonder memories of Baltimore then just the bowling alley one.

No surprise than Nolan picked him up.
Savage would have if he had the chance, bet.

I liked him. I wish him luck. Of course, since he was picked up off waivers, he 's got a spot on the team!

I'm glad for him, and hope he does well. I did not think he would be out there long.

Good luck Rod!
(Before the Ravens came I was a 9er fan, its sad to see what's happened with that organization. Hopefully the Yorks will figure it out, I can assure you that despite the crticism they take from the media, they are good people.)

It's funny how all of our cast-offs end up in Cleveland or SF.

Hope he does well, but I don't expect it. Who knows though, the Niners are pretty bad.

Re: KFFL: Rod Green A 49er
Not sure exactly how it works, but is there any compensation (i.e. draft picks) for being claimed "off waivers" or are there not any since he was just flat out released?

Re: KFFL: Rod Green A 49er
Only reason Cleveland didnt get him was because the 49ers were so bad last year they had first dibs on him, even before the Browns.
