Mason at Westminster, per WNST
Just got the text ...
Could still be the official retirement, but it looks like he might be back after all.

I just got that text too. But I got a second text from them that said "Many media outlets" report he is ending his retirement.
So the question is, what's he doing?

It's official...he is back
BaltimoreRavens.com as well as the Sun are reporting it with Quotes from Mason saying he will be back.

Re: Mason at Westminster, per WNST
It was just a matter of time.
Mason had 4.4 million reasons to play this year and there was not a chance in hell he was leaving that money on the table.

Re: Mason at Westminster, per WNST
Of course I smiled like a cat with a mouse. I don't care what level you play at.Losing a player who gave soo much lets the wind out of the sails of the other players of that unit. They don't show it,but deep down inside the seed of doubt creeps in.They are humans after all.
That is why Mason retiring and now coming back is a double morale boost to the offense, the team, the fans.I do not count the coaches or FO cause they cannot show such emotions.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: Mason at Westminster, per WNST
Mason's return buys Ozzie another year to get our WR situation together...I almost wonder if the coaches will try to get Clayton, Williams, and Harper/Smith on the field more with Mason here just to give someone a chance to step up...
But this makes me very happy, I think Derrick being back is huge for us, both in a talent and a leadership standpoint...Flacco is without question the leader of this offense, but Derrick is his right hand man, so having him back should help to get the other offensive pieces in gear..

“When I think of a Baltimore Raven - we go in there, we take your lunch box, we take your sandwich, we take your juice box, we take your applesauce, and we take your spork and we break it. And we leave you with an empty lunch. That’s the Baltimore Raven way.” - Steve Smith Sr.
Call me a Special Teams coach again. I dare you! I double dare you, MFer!

Re: Mason at Westminster, per WNST
Mason really does inspire a lot of confidence. I felt like the Ravens would have been fine and improved on the 28th ranked pass attack either way, but with Mason back in the mix the jump should be more than just a few spots and could get us up into the teens in passing.
