Tomlin likes Ravens in AFC North

Mike Tomlin told the Pittsburgh Gazette that he thinks the Ravens are the favorites to win the division in 2009. Of course, he picked the Browns in 2008 and we saw them lay an egg, but we aren't Cleveland so I wouldn't expect that from us.

If Tomlin was a good coach, and he is, I would expect him to be very convincing to even his own players that the Ravens are a dangerous team that could very easily take everything the Steelers covet in 2009. That wouldn't be a stretch either.

BTW I expect no less from Harbaugh, it's the coach's fault if his team underestimates the competition. The Steelers are the world champions until someone takes it from them, and we did not last year. So work harder this off-season if you want the crown.

I hate Tomlin but its because he's cocky & good. This is purely a chess move, and a decent one at that .

Why would a coach of a defending world championship team just give it to a team in his division that he beat not once but 3 times last year b4 even stepping on the field?????

its because he knows that year in, year out we r an underrated team that plays some great football under the radar. He’s trying to immediately take the bulls eye and expectations off them and put it on us. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

There's no way he's afraid of a team he beat 3 times in a row and that just begged off from playing the Stoolers in the season opener.

Exactly! Don't insult our intelligence there Mike. The Steelers owned the Ravens last year, and you have the audacity to suggest the Ravens are the team to beat - Get Real!
