I am not terribly impressed with our group when compared to Cleveland, but when you stack us up agaist Pittsburgh...things don't look so bad. We lead in all but 2 categories.Last edited by Mobtown; 08-29-2006 at 10:37 AM.

Re: A few pre-season stats...
McNair's completion percentage is all well above the rest of the NFL, which partially explains the good YPA average despite the lack of downfield balls.
We have to start pushing the ball deeper down the field with McNair, if we can consistently hit some 15-25 yard patterns (2-3 completions a game on 5-7 attempts) we will back the D off enough to make the short passing and running game very effective. It won't take much to get the 8th man back out of the box. Especially with Mason's and Clayton's ability to get YAC.

Re: A few pre-season stats...
I used the attachment option to post the rest of the preseason stats. Looks to me that along with the OL, we need to get that secondary sorted out or we will be in serious trouble.

I hope the playbook has some new wrinkles in it for the regular season, once the Ravens offense gets in the redzone.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.

Re: A few pre-season stats...
The high passing yards are short passes. Some of that was after Musa Smith ran with the ball after the pass. The important part of the game is to score TD's and we're STILL not doing that. I just pray that this is only the play we will see in pre-season and not the real season. All the yardage in the world won't help if we can't get into the end zone.

Re: A few pre-season stats...
Other key stats are total red zone attempts and redzone TD conversion %.
I know Cincy ranked high in both stats last year.

Are those sacks by the D or sacks allowed?
