Looks like it's back to Kamala in 2028 after this debacle. I'm sure Newsome will find plenty of money to lawyer up the illegal criminals he wants to remain in CA, regardless of the fires. I give Crowley credit for standing up to Bass and Newsome, but it's a wee bit late now to go public. I also give her credit for not mentioning or blaming climate change while throwing them under the bus. She forgot the Dem playbook. Humans with D's by their names are never at fault. But isn't Crowley the one that was hell bent on increasing the women in the fire Dept? That's what I have the problem with her. She may very well be qualified, but were all of the women that she hired the best candidates to fight fires and do that kind of job? DEI means did not earn it. And for these idiots that preach about climate change on a daily basis, they sure don't take measures to prepare for the consequences of said climate change.
Here's where some of the wasteful programs they spent money on while cutting the LAFD budget.

Wow, story changed. That's a major flip flop from the original story.

Adds a lot of context to the issue from an informed citizen. Worth a watch.

Perfectly said, hopefully this tragedy puts the final fork in DEI. But Democrats won't let it die though, it's a major part of their playbook. Many of them just voted against the Laken Riley act. But remember, they are always looking out for your safety.

The general misalignment of California's priorities, in my opinion, should be obvious, it goes far beyond the fire department or even DEI; it is fundamental to the state's government funding system. For example, Newsome approved 25 million dollars to Trump-proof California and 4 billion dollars to provide universal healthcare for illegal immigrants, but he cut 100 million dollars from the fire prevention budget, which covered things like controlled burns, forest thinning, and brush removal.

Bass can not spend 17 million dollars to keep her tax-paying residents' homes safe in the event of a mass fire or other natural disaster, but she spent 218 million dollars on additional beds for the homeless, which went unused.

To me, DEI is a shiny object; the head of the snake is Bass and Newsome. They are the ones who need to be held to account and this should be a wakeup call to Californian residents to start demanding their government serve them and fund the things that are actually important.

Honestly, where I am is essentially Trump country, El Dorado. No one likes Gavin around here. There are counties here and there that are blue, but it is mostly the coast and the big metro areas that are blue, but even democrats seem to be turning on Newsom. I mean, he survived a recall, but it was real.

The water management has been a point of contention since I moved here 7 years ago; they have done nothing to expand the reservoirs. There is a bit of plan underway for one up here in the north that is on the verge of being started, but it hasn't had a shovel put to the ground yet.

This thing was approved decades ago, but they never pushed to do it. It is just North of Sacramento, not that it would help LA, but there are plans to have water all over this state, but they don't do it for political/environmental reasons. Now that people are dying, and LA might burn entirely to the ground, they will likely get on the ball.

Laws only exist because of Democrats?

Sad news for Shame and his lefty friends who were mocking James Woods after his tearful appearance on CNN. His house survived the fires. https://nypost.com/2025/01/10/entert...st-it-forever/
