History: US Marine Invasion of the Dominican Republic 1965
While already involved in Vietnam, trouble was brewing down in Santa Domingo. President Lyndon B. Johnson ordered Marines to the Caribbean island. More than 3,000 Domincans and 27 US soldiers lost their lives. The United States restored order in Dominican Republic but was defeated in Vietnam.Last edited by simplesimon; 01-17-2025 at 03:38 PM.
