RNC throwing in the towel on McCain?

Looks like the RNC fearing the presidential race is now unsalvagable and becoming more worried about the emerging possibility of the Democrats gaining the 60 seat senate advantage to deny filibusters are pulling funding from Mccain and putting resources into the senate races at risk.

"that the party would use new money to block a Democratic triumph in the Senate rather than boost the odds of its presidential nominee speaks volumes about what many Republicans think is still salvageable. And some in the GOP, especially those working on House and Senate races in which their candidates’ poll numbers swoon during the financial crisis, are increasingly agitated about money being spent on what all observers, including McCain, acknowledge is an uphill fight on top of the ticket."

    ouch.

Yes, it's time for the humbled Republicans to go away from a while. It's the Democrats turn to line their friends pockets for a while. Don't worry, your turn will come around soon enough given the strangle hold you and your Democratic buddies have over the US Government.
