What's up with these Democrats lying about their awards/service in the Military?

“Military experts” is referring to Anthony Anderson, a retired military veteran, non government official, who runs a literal Watchdog on Stolen Valor cases, called Guardians of Valor. Who explains quite clearly why Wes Moore’s case doesn’t amount to that at all.

Doesn't amount to what? That he did receive the metal? He did not.........he said he did. Was Anderson involved in his participation in theater? Was he apart of the paperwork? Was he Moore's commanding officer? I don't care who he is, whatever he says is nothing but repeated information someone told him.........if he wasn't directly involved.

Again, he doesn't matter to me. What matters is fact.......truth. He didn't receive the metal. The only evidence that he should have is a few people who said it was a "paperwork" glitch. Sounds to me like someone is just trying to cover his butt. You want to believe him.......no sweat off my back. You want to stand up for him.......go right ahead.

The photographer was not allowed access. The Trump campaign team forced their way in, lied about it, and then got an actual rebuke from the US Army for their actions.

That isn't what the article said.......the article said that an "employee" of the cemetery told one of those with Trump that they couldn't take pictures and the staff member told them to pound sand. I definitely think that happened. Should they have taken pictures? Probably not according to the rules. You are making it like the staffer pushed the employee to the ground and trampled over them. That's not what happened was it? Also, I noticed in your post you never mentioned that Biden did EXACTLY the same thing. You seem to have an issue with facts.......

Having served during the GWOT era and Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom eras, I can tell you that Bronze Stars were not "routinely" awarded at the end of service. Bronze stars are awarded for "heroism or meritorious service in a combat zone".

It's possible he did enough, and he was in Afghanistan as an O-3, but to get a Bronze Star, you need to do things above and beyond. That doesn't mean he wasn't nominated for a Bronze Star. It is also sometimes a numbers game. I know people who were nominated for various awards, but commands can only give out so many of certain awards - this is especially true for the more prestigious awards. It's entirely possible that Wes did enough to earn a Bronze Star, but it came down to a numbers thing, and there were other guys who did more or who were more deserving of the award. So, he got bumped. That happens a lot.

Depending on the role, someone would most likely get a Commendation like a JCOM or a JSAM medal. Meritorious Service Awards were also not uncommon for deployment. In looking at Moore's military awards, he did receive a Defense Service Medal.

The reason a lot of people pump up their military records and awards is because most civilians don't know what they are, take it at face value, and have no concept of the requirements to earn such an award.

It's not a Left or Right thing.

I know plenty of people who claim things from their military experience that aren't accurate or factual.
