This planet is 4,5 BILLION years old and we are supposed to make drastic changes that will mostly impact the poorest of the poor based on 150 years or so of data out of 4,5 billion years.

    Think about that.
Since you are a fellow Christian, I can speak to you in a way that is understandable.

I believe that the increase in modern time natural disasters are going to be a major factor in the famine that is prophesied. Both revelations 8 and revelations 16 include descriptions of natural disasters (albeit at a much later time)

    Re: Hurricane Season

I had posted a while back, but am not searching for it, about a study that said 1 reason the world is warming up is because there is less pollution in the air than there used to be, thus the increasing penetration of the sun to the earth. To solve this, I guess we need to burn baby burn coal, like China is doing.

I would agree, but consider that North America, 50,000 years ago, could have been hit with CAT 5 hurricanes weekly and we wouldn't know about it.

Bad stuff will happen, but the solution isn't to stop Mongolians from burning coal to stay alive in their brutal winters. The solution is Jesus.

It should also be noted that the sun is getting brighter by the minute, though in puny amounts. But it is about 30% brighter than it was when the earth formed and has gotten brighter ever since, and will continue to do so for a billion or more years.

    I agree.

Prophecy will be fulfilled. God will allow things to happen and owning electric vehicles won't prevent it. That is my strongest argument for why there is no such thing as climate control. We cannot control it. This is Gods will.

Whenever the climate change subject comes up I always like to post this video. My guess is most of you have seen......I have posted it before but it stands to be repeated........some people forget.

    Re: Hurricane Season

Being a non-believer but being well-schooled in it, I admit that current-day events are scarily close to things prophesized in Revelations, King James version. However, it's the accuracy of Nostradamus in many predictions that truly puts things into perspective for me.

My skepticism about global warming is rooted in the fact that our planet has experienced significant temperature fluctuations in different eras. Moreover, the existence of Sol, a star that our planet orbits, introduces the possibility of energy cycles that could influence our climate.

It's concerning to see how human activities have contributed to some of the Earth's ailments, particularly those related to warmth. The damage to the Ozone layer, for instance, is a stark reminder of our impact on the planet. At the same time, it's heartening to know that it's slowly being repaired and should be whole again by 2057.

Electric cars do not help the environment a lot if the power they receive is connected to a grid supplied by fossil fuels. So unless the state is entirely wind, solar, hydro, or even nuclear, if you want to count that, then there is only the exhaust not made by EVs.

When it comes to worldwide atmospheric pollution, it's important to recognize that different countries have different priorities. China and India, for instance, have a significant number of coal-fired power plants in use. Similarly, third-world countries are at different stages of development. It's crucial to understand their unique challenges and not impose our standards on them.

Last, given the severity of a volcanic eruption in our lifetime, it could easily drop the world's temperature by several degrees. Were that to happen, global warming would be greatly missed. It is easier for humans to exist in warmer temperatures than cold, which would cause a lot of farming issues and maybe even famine if that were to come to fruition.

These are some of the things I picked up on working in energy consulting for 13 years.

Another tropical wave about to develop into another named storm. Any predictions?

The ozone layer is already almost 100% healed.
The Vostok Ice core data showed us beyond a reasonable doubt in the late 90’s that we have a TON of work to do to pretend what we are experiencing is not natural.

The globe sure is warming, but:

It’s actively good for humanity, not bad. Much the this planets land is uninhabitable or less than ideally habitable due to low temps(northern Canada, Russia, Antarctica. The land in the tropics is minimal in comparison if it were to get “too warm”. Having the land closer to the poles becoming arable increasing global carrying capacity, point blank, period.

    No one will admit that…

Because they are bent on getting the population of the world well under a billion. Of course, their posterity is included in that billion. Yours, likely not.

So hurricanes are just gods wrath for sinners?

Why do they only hit red states?
