GOP Senate Blocks Small Business Welfare Bill Disguised As Child Tax Credit

I commend them for doing this. The House GOP welfare spenders tried to sneak a bill that would wipe off debts of small businesses in the name of giving extra child credits that expired earlier this year. I think a separate bill can be passed to help parents with children a tax credit. NOT YOU GREEDY SMALL BUSINESSES THAT GOT A TON OF HELP WITH PPP LOANS, DURING THE PANDEMIC, YOU DIDN'T PAY OFF!! GET A REAL JOB LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!! STOP TRYING TO ADD TO THE FEDERAL DEFICIT! THERE SOMETHING CALLED FILING BANKRUPTCY TO RESCHEDULE YOUR DEBTS!!!

You knew this was coming, I am a small business owner and want no parts of this. It's nothing but short term gains. Simon is right.......the reason we are partly experiencing inflation now is because of all of those PPP loans that were made. I know two friends that took advantage of them.......several hundred thousand dollars a piece. Both told me they have no intentions of paying them back.......when they retire they will claim bankruptcy. I didn't take one nickle even though I too could have. Debt kills.......I couldn't sleep at night knowing I owe hundreds of thousands of dollars. Both of those guys have almost $3,000 dollar a month payments. Debt is what is going to kill this country.

Surprised you would admit it but its the truth. Trumps Trillion Dollar PPP loans that he ensured there would be no oversight is the root cause of Inflation

Congress had to ok the PPP loans to get the ball rolling and had initial oversight to get the ball rolling quickly. Somebody seems to forget the House controls the pursestrings. It was given to the SBA using banks to get it delivered and it was just too damned rushed. Really no different than the stimulous checks. Want to blame somebody. Blame China.

Art as far as I know a lot of those loans were forgiven. Really no diffrent than the bailout under Obama.

I am very close to the two I mentioned and no.....their loans were not forgiven.

That's one of the problems I had with Trump is that he spent as much as any other President. But don't fool yourself, Biden only continued the spend when he took office. Infrastructure bills are the worst......don't go celebrating. Obama doubled the national debt in his 8 years.

Difference is during Donald Trump's time in office the economy was exploding......that's just as much a fact as Trump spending to much. Facts are facts.

What was the first thing Biden did when he took office? The very first thing? Numero Uno? He signed an executive order cancelling the Keystone pipeline......BOOM! Gas prices go up......which means everything else goes up. That's fact. What's the second thing Biden did when he took office? The very next thing he did was stop all construction on the border wall and cut funding to the border patrol......that's a fact. Now the liberals want to blame the border on the Republicans for not signing some bullshit bill they proposed..........The Republicans have been hoodwinked by the Democrats several times in the past. Signing "immigration deals". Ronald Reagan said his biggest regret was signing such a deal. The Democrats never their part of the bargain.

There was also the problem with fraud and little accounting. Billions of dollars were missing and no one really knows where it went. Although it was started under Trumps administration it continued when Biden took office. Biden had no problem spending his trillions. When you compare apples to apples Trump had an economic plan that was very successful. What was/is Biden's economic plan? What's Harris's economic plan?

They just criticize the Republicans........"our plan will help everyone instead of the non working trickle down policy of the Republicans" Oh yeah.........so what's your plan?

There wouldn’t have ever needed to be POP loans if Democratic governors didn’t intentionally tank the economy by shutting all the states down foolishly and make COVID’s effect far more than it ever needed to be…

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ not to mention the damage it did to children and their education. Those things can never be recovered. Children can't get a check to fix that. The damage to children during covid really is immeasurable.
