Republican Leader- Donald Trump who has wealth and political power. Native of New York City, New York.


Criminal Charges-

Stephenson- Rape and murder of Madge Oberholtzer.

Trump- convicted of rape of E. Jean Carroll, fraudster who ripped off consumers, cheater who broke the rules for his own gain

Results

Stephenson- Served a total of 31 years in prison. Governor Jackson refused to grant Stephenson clemency or commute his sentence.

Trump- Still walking around free. Supreme Court ruled he has immunity. Aileen Cannon dismissed classified document charges against Trump.


The Damage

Ku Klux Klan- The case destroyed the Klan as a political force in Indiana, and significantly damaged its standing nationally, the rapid loss of tens of thousands of members, and the end of the second wave of Klan activity in the late 1920s.

Republican Party- The nominated presidential candidate of the republican party. Has strong backing by Evangelicals and Nikki Haley endorsed him.
