Re: Biden stepping down?
I don’t think the Dems could reasonably go with anyone other than Joe or Kamala.
First, all that campaign funding was for them. It can’t be transferred to someone else (or so I’ve read). Additionally, anyone other than Kamala and Joe weren’t on the ballot during the primaries. So, nominating someone else would blatantly circumvent the Democrat process completely.
Lara Trump already said if the DNC does this, they will sue for violating the Democratic process.

Re: Biden stepping down?
Although I can understand why you think this, I would not agree unless and until a legal ruling was made to confirm it. I mean, for example, anyone could say they are running, just to bring in tons of cash, then decide to drop out at the last minute. I wonder if there's any real, actual legal precedence? I'm gonna say I'm not so sure about all this....for now. It's also at least possible, that they may have to return all the donations. I have maintained all along that they might try to drag Joe across the finish line, officially nominate him, THEN have him resign. For health reasons, of course......

Re: Biden stepping down?
Well, Biden just stepped aside and endorsed Harris. I think Trump will beat Harris, so what was the point of pushing Biden out if they were only going to nominate someone who will still lose?
If I were the Democrats, I would be cold-blooded about it. Keep Harris as the VP for the campaign funds and pick someone at the top of the ticket who can win PA, MI, WI, and MN.

Re: Biden stepping down?
It’s not her money. That money was donated to the Biden/Harris ticket. Yes, keep her as the VP for the campaign cash and put someone at the top of the ticket who can win the upper Midwest states that the Democrats need to win this election.
The U.S. has never elected a woman for President much less a black woman. If the stakes are really that high in this election, then they should pick someone who can win and not go all DEI about it. Harris is a bad campaigner or at least she was in 2020. Also, what has she accomplished as VP? I can’t think of anything. She mostly speaks to minority audiences about topics like abortion rights. That’s the biggest layup for any Democratic candidate.
