Looks like a coup is going on. Does this mean Democracy is in jeopardy? Seems like they should have asked Biden during the debate if he would accept a coup from his own party like they asked Trump if he would accept losing an election. Joe will not endorse Harris.

BREAKING NEWS: Multiples sources outline the apparent state of play on Biden at this time:

    * plans to announce withdrawal from nomination as early as this weekend, with Sunday most likely

    * Jon Meacham polishing up remarks

    * Biden with NOT resign the presidency

    * Biden will NOT endorse Harris

    * open convention with Harris and about 3 others

    * super delegates will not be allowed to vote on 1st ballot

    * Harris is vetting at least four possible running mates, including Andy Beshear and possibly Shapiro

So if Kamala throws her hat and whatever else she offers up into the race, does that mean she can and is the only one able to use the Biden/Harris warchest of campaign donations, even if Joe does not drop out or endorse her? I have no idea of the rules, but I'm sure the Dens will rewrite the rules. All I know is I'm loving the turmoil in the Democratic party right now. They and the media have only themselves to blame by hiding Joe's dementia for several years. We had the Laptop from Hell and now we have the "Debate from Hell" but people found out about the latter prior to an election though they tried to keep it a secret.

Someone said something about door knobs.
She polished all the knobs in San Francisco. I guess all that hard work getting on her knees to polish really worked for her!

Surprised she could finish "the job" without cackling. I guess that would be a bad look to laugh at Willie's willie. She must be a pro.

The election is over imo the dems don’t have enough to build someone else up and yes I’m bypassing Harris because even die hard libs know she is a giant L. If they are smart they will use a young gun and spend the next 4 years rebuilding their party. Even their own satire shows are making fun of the ages of all their folks.

Do they need to build someone else up? Remember, this election isn’t about policies or what’s going on in the Country. It’s about being Trump or not. Michelle Obama would definitely beat Trump if she decided to run and so would many others.

If Biden steps down, I think the person the Democrats should nominate is Senator Mark Kelly and keep Kamala Harris as the VP. Keeping Harris on the ticket doesn’t piss off black women who the Democrats need and it gives that ticket access to the Biden/Harris campaign funds.

He is a U.S. Senator from a purple state (Arizona) and is a centrist Democrat. Mark Kelly also has a military background. He served as a US Navy combat pilot and later as a NASA astronaut. This is exactly the type of person who would resonate with voters in the upper Midwest states that the Democrats need to win this election. A left wing liberal could not win their votes. Plus, Arizona is a border state and Kelly has more conservative views on illegal immigration than Biden’s terrible policies. No idea if that ticket would win the election, but it would make for an interesting election race.

If he’s ex military then at some point he was proud of (and served) this country. That will definitely not resonate with the left. They need someone who, like them, hates America. Michelle Obama is the obvious choice here.

Fortunately for the Democrats (and the country), the Left only represents about one-third of the Democratic Party. They are just loud. I think the Left hates Trump so much that they would accept a centrist Democrat.

You keep saying that, but nobody has ever vetted her. I don't think Michelle is the heavy weight some think she is.

And I also think the public has had enough of the Obamas. Yes, he is popular, but they had their 8 years, like Clinton.
