I can't tell if this is ignorance or what.

He came from nothing. Served his country, authored a book, went to Yale, Clerked for SCOTUS justices, became a venture capitalist.

I guess the concept of self-made man is alien to guys like you.

He may have once been working class but he no longer is that's not how it works

I fully give him credit from working his way OUT of working class and becoming on of societys Elites.

Ok, i want to use this particular avenue of discussion (cause its not really too hot button) to highlight how shade operates. He says things like he’s responding to what someone on here said. Not one person VP was a blue collar job. No one really said jd vance is currently ‘working class’. But shade will try and pretend someone did. He MISREPENTS to try and make an argument.

Its not working class (I gather thats his current networth you are referring to) but 5 mil today is not rich. I would say its upper middle class. However, it also depends upon what age you are when you have it. 5 mil to say a 35 year old with many working years left in their lives is far different then 5 mil to a 70 year old. Comfortable versus rich feels more appropriate.

That's a good point, but it seems like a silly rule to me.
You have to hire the best, not by race, gender or place of residence, but it is what it is.
Vance is an interesting pick as he is very green, however, Trump had no government experience himself. Vance is clearly a highly intelligent very motivated individual. He buys Trump working class and sets up the R party for the future if Trump wins as his age is a benefit. Trump did not pick another old white guy who was wealthy to begin with. I think he could have gone with Haley to get the female/minority vote but the more I think about it the more I see why Trump picked him.

Right, but I never imagined Trump would choose someone without significant gov't experience. I actually thought he might pick Tim Scott.

He already tried that way lol. Imo I think he's looking for somebody to hand the mantle off too if he wins. Vance was a guy who was totally against Trump at the beginning but then totally bought into him after he witnessed what Trump did in his 1st term.
