I don't think it hurts Trump in picking Vance...........but I don't think it helps all that much either. I think he missed an opportunity, but that's just me. For those keeping DEI scores on the left it is just another "white guy". He isn't going to win over any undecided or moderate Democrats with this pick.

For me it's a head scratcher. Not in a bad way.....just don't see the up side.

I like that Vance is young and comes from a background not of privilege or wealth.

I think Trump is more concerned with who will follow him than who will help him get elected.

It's a merit hire, which may be what is confusing people these days.

I heard that Younkin ordered all VA flags to fly at half staff to honor the firefighter who was killed at the rally. Class move. He also was one of the first to congratulate JD Vance on the nomination, another class move.

Yeah. I like him a lot. Really think Trump missed a chance to set us up for 12 yrs of Republican POTUS.

A Yale Law graduate is working class?I don't really think so....

Wonder what kind of things JD Vance has said about Trump in the past

    Oh, that's strange.

can't say for sure but he might be the first vp pick to have admitted in a ny times bestseller to fucking an inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions (vance, 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘺, pp. 179-181)

Also was Pro-Vaxx, very interesting republican

    thanks for the reply .
That's a good point, but it seems like a silly rule to me.
You have to hire the best, not by race, gender or place of residence, but it is what it is.

A yes, shade getting it wrong again. Trying to misrepresent jd vances up bringing with either complete ignorance or purposefully ignoring his story. To what end? Why of course to divide.

There are ways to get around that, which has been done before, but yeah, seems like a stupid rule.

    Bingo.

Anyone with a shred of knowledge knows Vance grew up in Appalachia and comes from a line of blue collar rust belt workers. He grew up in the hillbilly hood basically amidst alcoholism, drug addiction, poverty and all the social ills associated with that part of the US. He got out on the strength of his brain, service to our country and hard work.

The reply by Shade above is a good example why he deserves the sh** he gets. He does not argue or make points from a position of knowledge or good faith. He's a troll essentially.
