So who does Trump pick as his Vice President?
So the Republican National Convention starts today. Most likely Trump will announce his pick for Vice President this week. The top 3 mentioned are Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. I am going to go out on a limb and say Trump shocks the world and selects Ron DeSantis. He just seems to have disappeared these last few months and I haven't heard much of anything from him, for whatever reason. The Florida residence thing would have to be worked out. If not RD, I think it may be JD Vance, or even Byron Donalds, who I really like. It also would not surprise me if he selects Doug Burgum because I think he is the least recognized name on the list, and like Pence, would be low key, who won't steal the limelight from Trump, who we all know Trump would not take kindly to. But, IMO, Burgum is far from a difference maker and won't excite anyone. Who do you guys think Trump picks for VP?

I think Rubio would soften the ticket and make it more palatable for moderates and might help to get some diversity on the ticket. Not that I consider Rubio a minority or anything lol. He has less pointy edges in general.
I like Vance a lot but there is not much contrast there between him and Trump.
I don't know much about Burghum.

I have no idea. Which I think is part of trumps plan. With that in mind, i find it unlikely that one of those three get picked. If trump wants to make a splash and surprise people, it would be weird to pick one of the names that are consistently out there.

Re: So who does Trump pick as his Vice President?
I don’t think Desantis helps him, despite him being an absolutely fantastic pick for the actual job. Unfortunately, that has nothing to do with picking a VO any longer.
Tulsi Gabbard would probably be the very best choice for a VP as it would bring a ton of votes from across the Aisle and may very well seal the election before it starts.
Nikki Haley would do similar things, but perhaps to a slightly lower degree:
Perhaps Ben Carson is ready for a promotion and would bring some election-swinging prowess as well.
Unfortunately, we are in an age where a VP is picked exclusively via DEI and regionally. Someone needs to bring a swing state with them and add to the diversity pie as much as possible.

Y'all have been saying all along that y'all have the popular vote and minority vote in the bag who why do you need a "DEI" VP? Lmao

Re: So who does Trump pick as his Vice President?
The problem with Tulsi is that she would be one bullet away from becoming President. That became a real reality after Trump dodged a bullet (no pun intended) on Saturday. Would you be OK with that scenario? Trump not being able to finish out his 4 years is a big concern, and a real possibility, so you will need a solid conservative backup as VP with all the lefty nut jobs and deep state actors running around this country.

Seems like it is going to be JD Vance.
Kind of "meh" about it.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

If not Gabbard or DeSantis ...I'd pick Youngkin from VA. He's a solid conservative that doesn't seem to be bought yet. Basically...he's DeSantis light.
