You should stop doing this to yourself it just isn’t realistic. The only helmet Lamb will be wearing this season has a star on it.

But considering the reality that we're probably going to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a WR in the 25 draft anyway, I have no problem doing that. Lamb's just that good. You already touched on what he would do for our offense.

1.) Lamb would be the first Top 10 WR Lamar's EVER had on the outside.
2.) For fans who says that Lamar's throws to the outside aren't his best, they don't need to be perfect with Lamb out there. Which allows Lamar to play calmer (A playoff issue)
3.) He requires constant double teams, which sets up single coverage for Zay and makes it more difficult for the defense to bracket 'both' of our TEs. One of them is bound to see a mismatch. If not both.
4.) With Zay on one side and Lamb on the other, it limits the run blitzes defenses can use against us and forced the boundary CBs to stay home. We can get Henry running downhill at them in outside zone.
5.) It forces defenses to back off. Again, creating more space for Henry
6.) Showing stacked looks pre-snap becomes risky, as defenses can be caught out of position. The strategy KC employed last year would be rendered too dangerous.
7.) It would allow us to actually throw the ball more, effectively, and win games with the pass, without the pass needing to feed off of the run. So we get into territory where we can win throwing 40 times or running 40 times.
8.) It elevates the passing offense to a level that better translates to the playoffs. DCs will have tons of tape, but we'll just have too much firepower.
9.) If anything happens to Zay, we still have Lamb. And vice versa. If anything happens to one of the TEs, we still have Zay and Lamb, which allows someone like Kolar to be better inserted without losing momentum.
10.) It doesn't require us to have some Top 5 defense and we won't have to be so concerned with allocating so much money to the defense.
I think the trade cost would be a whole lot more than a 1 and a 3. I mean, at that price, I think plenty of teams would be lining up to make to the trade. I certainly would. Cost is probably more like 2 1sts plus a good player. Haven’t seen much in the way of rumors of other teams making trade offers for Ceedee.

WR CeeDee Lamb reportedly believes that the $33 million per year offer is too low for him to re-sign with the #Cowboys

Cash flow, guarantees, and how the deal will be structured on the front half are still keeping them apart.

It is. If Jefferson just got 35m then Lamb could get 35m on the open market if he just waited until the off-season.

It's almost like the wr market is overinflated and paying for these guys will actually hurt your team.

Re: We Should Trade for CeeDee Lamb.

I would pay CeeDee Lamb 35m and not think twice about it. Because what we would gain from adding him to our offense, far, FAR, exceeds the losses we would suffer. The worst loss that we'd have is Brandon Stephens. And I'm not passing up CeeDee Lamb to pay Brandon Stephens, as well as he played last year. Adding Lamb to our offense will add more to our offense than subtracting Stephens from our defense will hurt our defense.

We have a 7-1 playoff record as an organization when we score 30 or more points.
