CeeDee is a real star player. He's one of the best in the NFL. In year 1 they played him almost exclusively in the slot and some wondered what would happen when he was moved outside. What happened was he was able to work a little further down field. Every year has been better than the last. Lamb stays healthy and doesn't miss games. There is just no downside to a player like CeeDee Lamb

He is a guy who you consistently have to double team. At least keep a safety over the top of. And he still produces even with all that double coverage. He would fundamentally change how we must be defended. And it would open plenty of room for Henry to run through.

There question here is, what do you actually have to give up to pry him from Dallas?

    Too much, just my opinion.

2 firsts and a starter or two would be my guess. Likely or Zay plus maybe Cleveland or Fa’alele plus 2 firsts.

This is a number 1. Ayuik is not even in the same stratosphere

Well, you definitely have to pay him 35m. You probably have to give up at least a 1st. If I were Dallas, I wouldn't let him go for anything less than a 1st and a 3rd. But considering the reality that we're probably going to spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a WR in the 25 draft anyway, I have no problem doing that. Lamb's just that good. You already touched on what he would do for our offense.

1.) Lamb would be the first Top 10 WR Lamar's EVER had on the outside.
2.) For fans who says that Lamar's throws to the outside aren't his best, they don't need to be perfect with Lamb out there. Which allows Lamar to play calmer (A playoff issue)
3.) He requires constant double teams, which sets up single coverage for Zay and makes it more difficult for the defense to bracket 'both' of our TEs. One of them is bound to see a mismatch. If not both.
4.) With Zay on one side and Lamb on the other, it limits the run blitzes defenses can use against us and forced the boundary CBs to stay home. We can get Henry running downhill at them in outside zone.
5.) It forces defenses to back off. Again, creating more space for Henry
6.) Showing stacked looks pre-snap becomes risky, as defenses can be caught out of position. The strategy KC employed last year would be rendered too dangerous.
7.) It would allow us to actually throw the ball more, effectively, and win games with the pass, without the pass needing to feed off of the run. So we get into territory where we can win throwing 40 times or running 40 times.
8.) It elevates the passing offense to a level that better translates to the playoffs. DCs will have tons of tape, but we'll just have too much firepower.
9.) If anything happens to Zay, we still have Lamb. And vice versa. If anything happens to one of the TEs, we still have Zay and Lamb, which allows someone like Kolar to be better inserted without losing momentum.
10.) It doesn't require us to have some Top 5 defense and we won't have to be so concerned with allocating so much money to the defense.

Re: We Should Trade for CeeDee Lamb.

The worry with Lamb would be the obvious amount it would take to actually get him and then how much it would affect our cap moving forward.

Looking at the cap, it would take some maneuvering once again. We are already over for next year, with very little carry over cap space from this year.

Going to have to restructure/release/extend next offseason just to get some meaningful room. With a Lamb mega deal and Stanley (already counting almost $9 mill because of all the restructures), Mekari, and Stephens (assuming he walks and Wiggins takes over) all being UFA’s (only really meaningful ones)….

We would really be up against it cap wise next year and the years after. (Lamar’s deal starts taking off starting next year)

Top 2 picks next year are almost certainly looking like WR/LT. Do they have the balls to send off their 1st next year (among other items) to get Lamb and go for it all?

I would say go for it if the Cowboys are listening. The window isnt going to be open forever.
