Latest Arena League Failing

What was originally supposed to be a 16-team league is already down to 10, and the AFL is facing many more issues.
The Washington Wolfpack, one of the remaining teams in the league, released a statement attacking the leadership of the AFL and blaming them for its struggles.
"Teams were promised player salaries and team travel to away games — paid by the league," the Wolfpack told the Seattle Times.
"Under commissioner Lee Hutton III, the AFL failed to provide a single dollar towards these expenses."
I never saw any of it listed on tv. I think we all know tv$ is essential for pro sports.
well, no big loss, I guess. eventually somebody with the re$ources will try it again.

Conversely, the really successful minor league sports (baseball and hockey) are distinctly not at all reliant on TV. The value proposition is mainly:

Football only plays once a week, so offering #1 makes it hard to cover fixed costs. And #2 isn't such a draw when the occasional Kurt Warner is like .001% of the players on the field. Minor league football really has to fall back on being an nth-tier TV option for offseason NFL fans, but there's no precedent for that being a successful model in North American sports.
