  1. OTAs 2024: Discussion

    OTAs start today.

Curious to see if Rosengarten is thrown right in as the starting RT.

All but guarantee he takes a ton of snaps with the 1's at RT.

Harbaugh has never been a guy who is in a rush to throw a rookie into the starting lineup. He prefers to work them in slowly. Regardless, heíll make them earn it if they do. So if Rosengarten is the starter day one then youíll know itís because he is, without question, the best option right now.

A lot of rookies have started under Harbaugh.

They have, but thatís not to say he wants to put them out there. I didnít say that to say it hasnít happened. Just that, for him to do it, you know he prefers that rookie over the other option, without question.

Didn't Orlando Brown Jr run with the 1s all thru OTAs and preseason in 2018? To the point where we all knew he was going to start?

Then game 1 comes and it's James Hurst at RT?

Rookies have started, but they ahven't started OTA/TC with the 1's. He usually makes them earn it.

OBJ was known for coming into camp out of shape (almost every September as a Raven was medicore before getting significantly better through the year).

I think the issue in his rookie year is he did just that and they started Hurst to make a point before turning the RT spot to him when he was obviously the better player.

I think the guard situation will be a little more interesting. They haven't really brought anyone in and they lost both starters

I agree - the guard spots are going to be really interesting.

    Current depth -
    Ben Cleveland
    Darrian Dalcourt
    Tykeem Doss
    Tashawn Manning
    Sala Aumavae-Laulu
    Andrew Vorhees

    Josh Jones (maybe?)
    Patrick Mekari (maybe?)
    Corey Bullock (maybe?)

Have to imagine it's Ben Cleveland's and Andrew Vorrhees's job to lose.
