Re: OT: Football (Soccer) History in England and Germany.
I think they should bring Flick back. I just don’t see them being humble enough to ask him to come back. Then again, they didn’t double back and ask Tuchel to stay and he said no. They tried to play up Flick wanting to coach the German National Team, but the truth is they pushed him out. Flick wasn’t afraid to tell them where to shove it.

Re: OT: Football (Soccer) History in England and Germany.
How does both teams to score not cash? 2-0 was perfect score for Leverkusen to go all out to get a goal.
De Zerbi is the best coach reasonably available but he doesn’t fit the Bayern profile.

Yup. I tuned in expecting to see Leverkusen continue marching towards history. Instead I was treated to a different historical achievement. That was a fascinating game. I haven't watched Atalanta's other games, but they were relentless pressing man-to-man all the way up the pitch early in that game. The risk is that you get gassed, but they built a 2-0 lead before they had to tone it down. And Leverkusen didn't seem to be at their usual level. Maybe the intensity of the press shook them off their game and they just never recovered.

Re: OT: Football (Soccer) History in England and Germany.
Flick is the new Manager of Barcelona. Xavi is a club legend, but seriously… how do you announce that you’re quitting, then when there are discussions about you staying, you tell Laporta that you believe you can make it work despite the financial issues. And then, not even a month later, basically and publically say that you can’t make it work due to the financial issues, and wonder why they want to fire you?
