Basically, I feel like, we have three #4 WRs and a #2 who I do believe will become a #1 within the next two years. But we don’t have the sort of well built, stand alone passing game to get away with that if there’s an injury. You can pull that off when your top priority is making your passing game a force that the team wins with and go into the minute detail of how to make it work with lesser talent. And that’s how you approach things from the top down in the organization, and the off-season. That’s what Reid’s done for 20 years. He did it with the Eagles. They made I don’t know how many NFC Title games without TO. They just didn’t win a title because they didn’t have Mahomes.
But when you want to just run the ball and control the clock and that’s the only thing you really want to do, that strategy shrinks the margin for error and you can’t get away with #4 WRs masquerading as started and making a bunch of mistakes everywhere.
