That's true! Get your Thursday night road game out of the way week one, with no disadvantage of a short prep week with travel.

I wouldn't call it an "advantage" because of the opponent, but at least it removes a potential disadvantage later in the season. Not having an in-division Thursday night road game is a good thing.

Aggressive? I'm calling it now, if a deep pass play isn't called on the 1st Ravens snap, it'll be on the 2nd. I'm also predicting Baltimore gets the ball first (KC will defer or Ravens accept) so it will literally be the 1st or 2nd offensive play of the game and regular season

I could be wrong, but I don't think week 1 @ KC on Thursday will count as the Ravens or Chiefs Thursday night game. There will be another during the season. For example, Lions opened up on TNF @ Chiefs last year and then played on Thursday (Thanksgiving) and the Chiefs played a Thursday game in October.

The Lions beat the Chiefs in exact same spot last year. Both teams did pretty well after that. I like starting the season off this way. Win and it really sets a great tone for season
