Yeah that was insane stuff. A lot of 80 percent of Lamar for 20 percent of the price...then a posts that we could get a day 2/3 pick for Huntley.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Huntley is one tweaked hamstring away from being the Browns starter

Sam as Kyle Trask in Tampa Bay, and every other backup QB. Doesn't make them all good

More like 2 hamstrings away. Huntley is the 3rd string QB if he makes the team. Jameis Winston is behind Watson

I don't even think he'll get the opportunity. They gave Winston almost $3 million in guarantees. Huntley didn't even get $500k. They also kept DTR. They are doing with Huntley what the Ravens did with Josh Johnson last year. He's someone for the practice squad who will move up when needed

Let’s be honest, second year in this offense, no new weapons of serious consequence, that is perfectly acceptable.

This is NOT missing Football school in a new offense with two new starting receivers after signing the richest deal in NFL history.
