In January 2023, 24 Republican legislators in the US state of South Carolina sponsored the South Carolina Equal Protection Act of 2023... The bill makes women and pregnant people who undergo abortion subject to the state’s homicide laws and punishments, including the death penalty.

Similar measures have in the past been filed by state Rep. Tony Tinderholt, R-Arlington, ... he introduced the bill in 2017.

In 2019, a related bill from Tinderholt drew nearly eight hours of public testimony. State Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano,

Under the bill filed Tuesday[2021]women who receive an abortion and physicians who perform the procedure could be charged with assault or homicide, which is punishable by death in Texas, confirmed Shannon Edmonds, a staff attorney with the Texas District and County Attorneys Association.

A Texas lawmaker has filed a bill that would abolish and criminalize abortions, leaving women and physicians who perform the procedure to face criminal charges that could carry the death penalty.

The legislation, filed Tuesday by state Rep. Bryan Slaton, does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

At least you acknowledge that the bills are real , the support is real and not a liberal scare tactic like you said to say.

Yes thankfully they are being defeated currently but we both know the way things are swinging since Roe has been repealed.

To call out republican attempts to do exactly what i said is not fearmongering it is noticing.

So the "Fat Bastard" Larry Hogan won't be attending the Republican Convention in July. Apparently, he did not attend the GOP conventions in 2016 and 2020 either. He's attending the Hogan Convention at the Golden Corral.
