That might be underselling. There are two places it is hugely beneficial.

    Epilepsy - seizure prevention

    And

    Cancer - appetite stimulant.

As a pain reliever, anti-depressant, anti-anxiety etc, “slight” is probably more in line: However the two conditions listed above are treated better than any other available compound.

Epilepsy treatment by a weed component is CBD, again not what the vast majority or pro weed legalization people are after. They want the thc.

It’s still more than a “slightly positive result” which you attributed to other compounds.

There are like a couple dozen anti seizure meds on the market. Lets not act like cbd is the only thing that can treat epilepsy. Again the economic impact and medicinal uses are over hyped so people can get their high on. There doesn’t need to be weed legalization to examine medicinal benefits of compounds on marijuana

I am currently around 10 feet from someone that has nearly cured lifelong epilepsy through the use of medicinal marijuana that found CBD only to be inadequate. There are hundreds of compounds in Marijuana and multiple of them assist in anti-seizure better than any manmade substance has done for decades in many patients.

Similarly with the appetite stimulant qualities which is particularly useful for cancer patients.

I’m not sure if you have something against it, but there are ABSOLUTELY real therapeutic effects that don’t simply involve getting high:

At the same time, yes, I will admit 90% of those pushing just want to get high. But let’s NOT let that take away from the actual legitimate uses.

I can just say living in Vegas for 8 years and coming out here for 20+ all the time, legalized weed or more importantly the ease of access has been a net negative on the people. It might take twenty years for a study to come out, there might not ever be an honest assessment but weed has hurt productivity of people and lowered the general intelligence level, as well as imo decreased the average individual’s happiness.

Cannabis needs to get off schedule 1 to allow federal research funds, we should be expunging records too.
Thanks, but I have this voting thing down pat and I will be and have always voted Conservative. The main reason I think weed should be legal is because alcohol is. I am sure we don't all need a thread to explain all the negative aspects and effects on society alcohol has brought. For those who admonish the legalization of weed, have a drink and think about it. I find it all quite silly, really. Plus, it's already here and has been for ages.

It was legal at one time and if anybody says they're a Constitutionalist then they'd say it should be legal too. It's a 10th amendment issue just like abortion.
    I don't know a lot but I know a little

All of that is true everywhere else.
Your experiment is missing the control group.

It’s only medicinal in PA and only for a few years but my seat of the pants assessment of our population is identical.

The so called "limited government" "Freedom" mindset facade never seems to hold up to much scrutiny.

The War of Drugs was such a dark moment for this country. Where did it get us exactly?
