Texas is doing what it should be doing.

The Federal Government should protect our borders. They're not doing that. Texas is the biggest southern border state, and they've had enough.

The Supreme Court punting on that case is trying to put the ball back in the Executive Branch's court, because this is their responsibility and the SC shouldn't have to rule on it in the first place.

    Good for Texas, I say.

Read Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution and let us know If you believe the federal govt is holding up their end. You know what they'll tell you. Our resources need to go to Ukraine. Thats what the military is for. To protect others. The Border?? LMAO. That's your response.

For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary."

Texas is overwriting Federal Authority, Do you think more states will start rejecting DC? How does this impact the election

I don't think by any means Texas wants to secede. Texas seems to have gone to lengths to create a legal framework to allow them to address their issue.

If this were truckers or "protestors" they would label them terrorists, put plants in the crowd, stir up shit and arrest, cancel and gulag them all but it is an entire state.

Because it is an entire state I am not sure what pressure the Biden admin is politically willing to bring to bear to stop what they are doing.

Democrats are going to get trounced on this issue either way but if Biden tries to use force or go authoritarian here it could get ugly.

This is almost a political check-mate situation.

You can see John Tester is crying about immigration and border control now. All the Democrats are crying about it now. Like they fucking care. Election is coming.

Is Texas going to start using deadly force against migrants?

I think it's a powerful tool to rally the base
