I had the impression that he too often broke for the interception instead of maintaining his assigned coverage.
seems like some DBs live or die by the pick.

at a speed position, any little injury can be ruinous.

As a vested veteran I don't believe he goes through waivers. He is an immediate UFA.

He was and is a gambler, but he was good at it and made calculated gambles that paid off more than enough to justify his chances.

But losing a step likely means he now misses enough that the gambles aren't costing more than they are paying.

Yes! That is who we need to give reps to. Pepe has potential as a great slot corner

I used to love Peters (see my avatar) but he's gotten to the point where he simply does not want to tackle anyone. If he doesn't have a chance and an interception he barely seems to bother.

I will always be a fan considering he showed up on one leg for the playoffs in a contract year.

He will have better options than us for playing time but we have a ton of injuries and guys coming off injury to our secondary I'd take him.

    To clarify:
    - From the start of the waiver period through the trading deadline, vested veterans who are released immediately become free agents. However:
    - From the trading deadline through the end of the season, vested veterans have to pass through waivers.

Trading deadline was Oct 31, so Peters has to pass through waivers.
