Thread: 9-3 at the bye.

    9-3 at the bye.

The Ravens are 9-3 at the bye. While some of us talk about the missed opportunities (3 losses with double digit leads). Some of us feel we are in a great spot. Defense is playing great and the offense has showed signs. How would you grade the season thus far.

    A minus.

It's hard to do much better than best record in the conference at the bye; tied for it at least coming out of the bye. The Ravens have navigated a ton of injuries while incorporating a whole new offense. They added key pieces to the defense at the end of preseason (Clowney, Van Noy) and look like the most complete D they've had in many years.

    They've positioned themselves very nicely.

I could be talked into a B+. The Indy & Steelers losses were self inflicted. And the pass-pro is very worrisome. But the big picture doesn't justify going any lower.

If you had told me before the season that we'd be 9-3 at the bye, I would have taken it for sure. And I'll still take it. We're the number 1 seed in the AFC right now.

However it is frustrating that all 3 our losses came inside the conference and this team could easily be undefeated if not for self inflicted errors and inability to finish.

    Both can be true

The Ravens are a good football team. They can be frustrating as hell at times but this is a good team. The defense is as good as anyone in today's NFL. Monken is better than Roman. Macdonald has been exceptional imo. Harbaugh is what he is. We have two dynamic young players in Flowers and Mitchell to pair with Lamar. I like our chances to be honest.

championship level defense, offense is balanced but still needs to improve

Could be better, but still a pretty damn good record.

I know it came against Staley, but this win could be huge for team morale going forward. Changes the narrative of expecting things to unravel into a loss in the fourth when things are not going our way

This team should have the best record in the NFL this season and should be undefeated, if anything only really 1 loss.

Poor coaching cost this team 2 wins.

This team is the most balanced team in the NFL. Outside of Andrews it has been relatively healthy most of the year.

This team should be dominating blowing teams out with how well the defense has played, and how much they have held the lead.

Just imagine what this team would look like if they played 4 quarters on offense. They would be destroying teams.

Decosta has put together a solid roster top to bottom this year.

We are atop the AFC and have a bye. Couldn't ask for much more. Just take it one game at a time.

Our D has been top notch. The offense has more balance and is improving. The ST is good but could be better.

We have 1/4 to go. Lamar is 13-3 in December. We are healthier than past years. Let's stay healthy and ride it out.

This season has been a pleasant surprise with the overall team play and depth.
