  1. Game Thread: Seattle Seahawks vs. Baltimore Ravens — Week 9 – Sunday, November 5th, 2023 - 1 PM (EST)

Today marks only the second home meeting against Seattle since the epic, momentous, memorable comeback 20 years ago (linked below). For some quirky reason, it took them 12 years instead of 8 to return to Baltimore between 2003 and 2015, the last time the Seahawks visited 'Charm City'.

Meanwhile, Baltimore went out to the Pacific Northwest in 2007 and 2011 in back-to-back meetings, which to this day makes no sense. Someone at the NFL screwed that up, but it allowed for another amazing game (this time out there) during another awesome Ravens season in 2019. Otherwise, today would (should) have been an away game. That all said, LET'S FRIGGING GO!

Today is OBJs birthday. Hopefully he'll get his first TD of the season. I just hope Lamar doesn't force the issue.

By the way, there are a total of four NFC bird teams, but only ONE in the AFC. Baltimore took care of the Atlanta Falcons last season, as well as both the Philadelphia Eagles during this preseason and the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday, respectively. Today brings the opportunity to reign supreme as the best (angry) bird franchise! More importantly, though, is the fact that there is a chance to remain reigning supreme atop the AFC with an excellent 7–2 record! Go (AFC) Birds!

I’d love to see a playaction deep pass the first play of the game. Would catch them off guard and set the tone.

The awful, plain-white-sock-NFL-copycat-trend — particularly with white pants — has officially struck the Ravens. Now, they have even crept their way in to totally ruin the classic black helmet / purple jersey / white pants attire appearance, which since mid-2004 has included solid, black(-topped) socks. Yuck!

Below is the PROPER way to wear white socks (include stripes, dummies!) with white pants, even though black is still superior due to contrast ALWAYS being better (e.g. white or purple socks with black pants & white jersey could work better than black tights/leggings look) — except when wearing 'Blackout' / 'ColoRush'.

Additionally, the latter should include a satin purple helmet shell (to match matte Nike uniform fabric textiles) plus metallic gold face mask, a la the Riddell 'Blaze' BALternate full size & miniature helmet replicas that were released back in 2017, like so:

Anyway, if insisting on going with white socks, then here is how it should be done:

Better hope no OL injuries during this one. If so, we got trouble!
